Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. Data We Collect
AskChains collects minimal data required to operate the platform:
- Wallet address (public, used as your identifier)
- Questions and answers you submit
- Ratings you assign to answers
- Transaction hashes for on-chain operations
2. No Personal Information
AskChains does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers. Your wallet address is a pseudonymous identifier that does not directly reveal your real-world identity.
3. Blockchain Transparency
All reward transactions (deposits, distributions, refunds) are recorded on the Polygon blockchain and are publicly visible. This is inherent to blockchain technology and cannot be altered or deleted.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI Moderation API — for content screening (question/answer text only)
- CoinGecko API — for POL/USD price data (no user data sent)
- Sentry — for error tracking (no PII included in reports)
- Polygon RPC providers — for blockchain interactions
5. Cookies
AskChains uses minimal cookies for authentication (JWT token stored in memory) and theme preference (stored in localStorage by next-themes). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
6. Data Retention
Questions, answers, and ratings are stored in our database for the lifetime of the platform. Wallet addresses associated with blocked accounts are retained to enforce platform rules. You may request data export by contacting us at support@nodevlabs.com.
7. Contact
For privacy-related questions or data requests, contact us at support@nodevlabs.com.
8. Changes to Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
